Art embraced the financial industry in 1981, working with several Securities Companies, both in representative and management roles. Licensed in BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario, Art takes his role as a "wealth creation specialist" seriously. Art taught Financial Planning at BCIT - British Columbia's Institute of Technology, run public seminars through the Department of Continuing Education and produced and directed his own television program that ran for two seasons, called "Money Masters". Insurance Direct Canada, Art enjoys advising thousands of clients each year, helping them create and protect wealth for their Families.   Barry Fisher Barry Fisher joined I.D.C. Insurance Direct Canada with 30 years of experience helping people reach their financial goals. Having operated numerous General Agencies since the age of 21, Barry’s extensive knowledge encompasses all forms of Life and Living Benefits Insurance and Investments including Segregated funds, Annuities, RRSP's and RRIF's Living in Edmonton for 44 years and married to Julie for 30 years, Barry has 4 great children and enjoys golf and hockey.   Darren Koch Darren Koch, an Associate Broker with I.D.C. Insurance Direct Canada, has over 11 years of experience in the Insurance and Investment industry. With 2 University degrees, Bachelor of Business Administration (convocated in 1992 with a major in Finance) and Bachelor of Arts (convocated in 1999 with a major in Political Science), Darren decided to pursue this career and was first licensed as a Life Insurance and Accident and Sickness Agent in 1997 in British Columbia, with a Level II Licence in 1999. Darren successfully completed the Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC) and became a Certified Financial Planner in 2003. Working at I.D.C. Insurance Direct Canada gives Darren the flexibility to be involved with the upbringing of his two children. Darren also enjoys curling and golfing, as time allows, and is very active with his local church. TOP Dave Dhiman Dave Dhiman has over 4 years in the financial services field. He is extremely well versed in individual products such as Investments (RRSPs) & Insurance (including life, disability, critical illness). Dave also works with many companies, including small and medium size, implementing Group Benefit plans. Dave holds a Business Degree from Simon Fraser University, specializing in Accounting. While working towards becoming a CGA, Dave decided his passion was in helping individuals achieve their financial goals - at this time he made a career switch. Dave started his financial services career with Clarica, but quickly realized that his clients were best served by the versatility and flexibility of a Broker - this allows Dave to choose the best Insurance company and product to propose to clients, as it needs to match each client's individual needs. In his own words "knowing that the products I recommend to my clients will be the ones that get them through their most difficult times is a fantastic feeling".   Deborah Linton Deborah Linton acquired her Life and Accident and Sickness Insurance Licences in Ontario in 1995. Realizing that her clients' needs exceeded the products of only one single Insurance company, Deborah took her Level II and became an Insurance Broker in 1998. Thus, her client base grew along with her expertise and her opportunities. Deborah continued to diversify by being licensed in seven Provinces and two Territories: B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Northwest and Yukon Territories. Deborah is also licensed in New York State - USA.     Lynn Khuu Lynn Khuu joined the Financial Services industry and became an independent broker in early 2005 after 13 years experience in leading IT companies. Lynn specializes in Life & Living Benefits Insurance including Investments.     Marilyn Brodie Marilyn Brodie became a licensed Life insurance agent in December 2004 and since then she has been an independent broker. She believes that clients are better served when she can represent the different Insurance Companies and give the best available insurance products and rates. Marilyn's educational background is in the area of Operations Management. She received her international designation of 'Certificate of Production and Inventory Management' (CPIM) in December 1993 and graduated from BCIT’s Operations Management program in June 1991. Marilyn worked in the high-tech manufacturing and software industry, managing projects in Canada, USA, China and India and implemented software in Canada and USA.   Markus Deutsch Markus Deutsch was a Financial Advisor in Austria and Germany for 4 years before deciding to emigrate to Canada where once again he has embraced this career choice. Clients will benefit from Markus' vast experience including Life, Living Benefits, Investments and Private Health Insurance. Currently licensed in the Provinces of Manitoba and Ontario, Markus is looking at becoming licensed in at least 2 other Provinces. Having grown up in Germany and lived in Austria, Markus has also built a network of services specific to the German-speaking community immigrating to Canada. Markus has contributed his expertise in Life insurance and Visitors to Canada insurance by writing articles for a magazine targeting these new immigrants, called "Kanadischer Stern". Monika has also obtained her Certified Financial Planners Designation.   Nadine Halverson Nadine Halverson has been a licensed Certified Financial Planner - CFP, since 1998. Nadine was registered with the Investment Dealer's Association for 5 years while specializing in placing and managing investments for high net worth clients with one of Canada's leading investment firms. In 2005 Nadine got licensed with the BC Insurance Council and then continued on with licences in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Becoming an independent insurance broker in 2006, Nadine is a personal and business insurance consultant to I.D.C. After completing his MBA at the University of Toronto, Russ went on to study for three years toward a PhD in Marketing. His career path has been anything but theoretical as he has excelled in a wide range of management positions. As an entrepreneur, Russ has built companies as both a master franchiser and franchisee and a successful insurance brokerage. As founder of I.D.C. Insurance Direct Canada, Russ germinated the idea from his home office as an independent life insurance broker to build this successful Company, beginning with selling life insurance via the Internet. Maria Watson, President Maria Watson has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a comprehensive background in sales and marketing, operations including production and distribution, as well as extensive experience in finance, IT and human resources. Maria worked for Multinationals servicing various industries where she had senior positions including the responsibility for 4 countries. She joined I.D.C. Responsible for the daily operations of client and broker services, new business procedures as well as Quality Control, Judy is an indispensable member of our Team. Suzette Bunagan, Medical Health Plans and Administration Manager With a B.Econ and a LLB, Suzette Bunagan is I.D.C. Insurance Direct Canada's New Business Coordinator. Joining in early 2006, Suzette's previous business experience coupled with five years in direct customer service has equipped her to be an effective addition to IDC. Responsible for all the Underwriting follow ups and updates with all the Insurance companies, Suzette's capabilities of working under pressure and handling an enormous workload are truly remarkable. Janis Romo - Client Services, Life Division Janis Romo joined the Medical Health Plans Division of I.D.C. Insurance Direct Canada in 2006. Since then Janis' responsibilities evolved and she is now with the Life Division assisting in all areas of Client Services including New Business.
